1. Acceptance of these terms

By using TextMatchCuts.com (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. The service

The Site provides a free, browser-based tool that generates a "text match cut" effect: a word you choose stays in place while generated newspaper-style text changes around it. You can preview the result and download it as a video or a PNG image. The tool is provided free of charge and without an account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Site, or anything you make with it, to:

• break any law or the rights of others;
• harass, threaten, defame or spread hatred or abuse against any person or group;
• create content that sexualizes minors, promotes violence, or encourages self-harm;
• pass off generated clippings as real news, or present them as coming from a real publication, journalist or organization, in order to deceive people (for example fake headlines, fake quotes, fake reports or impersonation);
• infringe someone else's copyright, trademark or privacy;
• attack, overload, scrape or probe the Site, or bypass its technical protections;
• copy, resell, redistribute or republish the Site's code, design or audio as a competing product.

We may block access to anyone who breaks these rules.

4. Your content and your videos

The words, phrases and text you enter are yours. Because the tool runs on your device, we do not receive them. You are solely responsible for what you type, for the videos and images you create, and for how you share or publish them.

Subject to these Terms, you may use the videos and images you download for personal and commercial purposes, including on social media, without attribution or a watermark. This does not give you ownership of the Site itself. If you add third-party music, logos or footage when editing, you are responsible for having the rights to use them.

5. Our intellectual property

The Site's code, design, text, graphics, the way the tool is built and its sound files belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable right to use the Site for its intended purpose. Names such as "Text Match Cuts" and "text match cut" may be used by others to describe the editing technique. Third-party names mentioned on the Site belong to their owners and appear only for identification.

6. Ads and third-party links

The Site is supported by advertising, which is provided by third parties such as Google. We do not control or endorse advertisers or other external websites and are not responsible for their content, products or practices. Any dealings with them are between you and them.

7. No warranty

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no promise that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that it will work in every browser or on every device, or that your exported videos will be playable in every app. Video export depends on your browser and hardware. Please keep a copy of anything important.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or loss of goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Site. If we are found liable for any reason, our total liability is limited to INR 1,000 (or the equivalent in your currency). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from content you create with the Site or from your breach of these Terms.

10. Changes and termination

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Site at any time, and we may update these Terms. The latest version is always on this page, and continued use after an update means you accept it. You can stop using the Site at any time.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India will have jurisdiction over any dispute, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights you may have where you live.
